Reviews from our guests

There are two places where our guests leave us comments.

They  are written by hand in the visitor books in each cottage ( sometimes even signed by the pets! ) Sometimes people forget to write in the book and e mail us later. We faithfully copy these comments as they come in and we upload them here. The only thing we hide or alter is the full guest name and address for obvious reasons of privacy.

Secondly we encourage our guests to write about us on Trip Advisor and we have an automatic feed of what has been written from Trip Advisor to this site .  Reviews posted like that show on the home page for each cottage, so now you can see what others have said.

As you will see we do have brilliant reviews. They are genuine, not a "fix" and  and its not that nothing ever goes wrong!. Although our standards are very high just occasionally, in the real world,  things are bound to happen. The good reviews are  because if something does go awry, and if our guests tell us about it  during their stay,  we do move heaven and earth to fix it while those guests are still with us. People appreciate this effort  on our part greatly and we guarantee it.

"It's our first time here. We loved it and will definitely be back. Great walks with kids and dog. Beautiful scenery. The visit to Henrhyd Falls and walk was worth it, Chepstow Castle and Iron Caverns The hot tub was amazing, needed it after long walks. Such a lovely cottage, very relaxing. Thank you The Shepherd family. "

"A truly fabulous cottage in a great location to explore. Hot tub was great after a days cycling and walking and the fire made the evenings cosy too. Food is excellent at The Anchor Inn in Tintern also the Wye Valley hotel and The Saracens Head is fantastic. Will be recommending the cottage to fiends and family. Ashley and Debbie Cayzer "

"Really enjoyed our stay at Vanilla Cottage. This was our first cottage holiday with the dogs and they loved it. We'll be sad to leave. Weather was good so Bruno and Ruby enjoyed their walks exploring the lovely countryside. The wine and Welsh cakes were much appreciated as was the vodka. Lovely cottage, would defo recommend to friends and family. Michelle and Kevin Jones with Bruno and Ruby "
