Reviews from our guests

There are two places where our guests leave us comments.

They  are written by hand in the visitor books in each cottage ( sometimes even signed by the pets! ) Sometimes people forget to write in the book and e mail us later. We faithfully copy these comments as they come in and we upload them here. The only thing we hide or alter is the full guest name and address for obvious reasons of privacy.

Secondly we encourage our guests to write about us on Trip Advisor and we have an automatic feed of what has been written from Trip Advisor to this site .  Reviews posted like that show on the home page for each cottage, so now you can see what others have said.

As you will see we do have brilliant reviews. They are genuine, not a "fix" and  and its not that nothing ever goes wrong!. Although our standards are very high just occasionally, in the real world,  things are bound to happen. The good reviews are  because if something does go awry, and if our guests tell us about it  during their stay,  we do move heaven and earth to fix it while those guests are still with us. People appreciate this effort  on our part greatly and we guarantee it.

"A very pleasant stay in a beautifully appointed cottage. We cane for a family reunion and have not strayed far from the cottage but have been able to walk around the Abbey in beautiful October sunshine. Greavested party "

"We loved our stay at Tintern Abbey Cottage. We were very comfortable and loved the location. Having a 12 year old with us, cycling in the Forest of Dean and canoeing the River Wye were enjoyable. Days of lots of laughter and great exercise. Local walks are great too. We loved visiting Tintern Abbey, Chepstow Castle and Raglan Castle. The old castle door at Chepstow is amazing! "We have had a wonderful time in this comfortable and well furnished cottage with such a memorable view of Tintern Abbey. Our friends from Harrogate were with us for the week and equally enjoyed the cottage and area Peter and Elaine Ross Winchester. "

"A wonderful, relaxing two week holiday. The cottage is superb and has everything you need. The hot tub was fantastic!! Thank you also for the lovely extra touches: wine, goodies and flowers around the place. All went to making this a very special time for us. Nikki and Kevin Bover Surrey "

Foxes Reach - Nikki and Kevin Bove - September 2016

"This is one of the best dog friendly cottages we have stayed in and the location is superb. It's our first visit to Tintern Abbey and the Wye Valley and we've been so surprised by the. Beauty of the area with its ancient woodlands and endless well signed public rights of way. Our 16 month old Springer Spaniel has loved every walk and has collapsed into a long and sound sleep at the end of every day! Reasons for loving the cottage include the contemporary feel, the superbly equipped kitchen and perhaps the number 1 reason: just how clean it is☺ Perhaps the best feedback that we can give is that we have alredy booked again for next summer.
