Reviews from our guests

There are two places where our guests leave us comments.

They  are written by hand in the visitor books in each cottage ( sometimes even signed by the pets! ) Sometimes people forget to write in the book and e mail us later. We faithfully copy these comments as they come in and we upload them here. The only thing we hide or alter is the full guest name and address for obvious reasons of privacy.

Secondly we encourage our guests to write about us on Trip Advisor and we have an automatic feed of what has been written from Trip Advisor to this site .  Reviews posted like that show on the home page for each cottage, so now you can see what others have said.

As you will see we do have brilliant reviews. They are genuine, not a "fix" and  and its not that nothing ever goes wrong!. Although our standards are very high just occasionally, in the real world,  things are bound to happen. The good reviews are  because if something does go awry, and if our guests tell us about it  during their stay,  we do move heaven and earth to fix it while those guests are still with us. People appreciate this effort  on our part greatly and we guarantee it.

"Thank you for another lovely week at Abbey Cottage- a perfect choice for my 40th birthday. It must be our 3rd or 4th visit to this cottage- our favourite of the three and it never disappoints. This year even treating us to amazing weather-20 C every day! Will be back again soon! Andy and Claire Caulfield Tadcaster North Berkshire "

"This is a beautiful cottage with everything you could probably need at your disposal and so very comfortable. We very much appreciated the wine and Vodka as a welcome. We had a lovely break here. Thank you for a truly lovely week Kind regards Ursula and Vincent "

"Abbey Cottage is delightful and the view hard to beat! Our recommendations are: The Abbey (of course), Tintern Old Station for lunch and Stella's books. We'd loved to do more walking but time didn't permit. If you could possibly order some warm sunshine! We've been very fortunate, but the cottage is very cosy anyway. Hope to be back t explore more. "A return visit, this time with my sister and our elderly Mum. We were delighted that the cottage and garden were accessible to our disabled Mum. Weather was lovely so mum was able to sit out in the garden in the morning whilst my sister and I enjoyed walking locally. The Anchor Inn was very welcoming and very dog friendly. Nice to be able to walk the wheelchair to the pub! Lovely cottage in a great setting. Many thanks for the "Welcome" gifts. Lyn Richards, Janet Barr and Mum Hampshire and Buckinghamshire"

"Haven't we been lucky! Beautiful weather and just one rainy night which your garden appreciated. It was so welcoming (after the M4 drive) to come into your cosy cottage and see the table laid for dinner- but where we're the cook and butler? We have loved being here and leave a lot more relaxed than when we arrived! Sally and Brian Killingback Sheffield-on-Loddon Hants "

"Another restful week in Wales. We really enjoyed being lazy. The Royal George serves up great Scampi and Chicken Madras curry. Thank you very much Graham and Betty Whitehead. Linton Cambridgeshire"
