Reviews from our guests

There are two places where our guests leave us comments.

They  are written by hand in the visitor books in each cottage ( sometimes even signed by the pets! ) Sometimes people forget to write in the book and e mail us later. We faithfully copy these comments as they come in and we upload them here. The only thing we hide or alter is the full guest name and address for obvious reasons of privacy.

Secondly we encourage our guests to write about us on Trip Advisor and we have an automatic feed of what has been written from Trip Advisor to this site .  Reviews posted like that show on the home page for each cottage, so now you can see what others have said.

As you will see we do have brilliant reviews. They are genuine, not a "fix" and  and its not that nothing ever goes wrong!. Although our standards are very high just occasionally, in the real world,  things are bound to happen. The good reviews are  because if something does go awry, and if our guests tell us about it  during their stay,  we do move heaven and earth to fix it while those guests are still with us. People appreciate this effort  on our part greatly and we guarantee it.

"Our stay was very relaxing and we would love to come again! Very comfortable rooms and a lovely time spent with our family. What a fabulous weekend we have had with our sons and their families. We love this cottage. As soon as we walked through the door we felt at home. The welcome was full of warmth, and the little details made the difference, the flowers, the Welsh Cakes and gingerbread rabbits, which Caleb (16 months) loved, the dining table laid for our evening meal, true wine. Everything was so lovely. I would recommend this cottage wholeheartedly. The area is great, the weather was great, our holiday was great. Thank you so much! Already looking forward to our next visit. Intending to experience Vanilla Cottage and Foxes Reach also. Sharon And Brian and family Newport, Finchley and Abercynon "

"A super relaxing week and a great place to celebrate a special wedding anniversary along with our dog. A perfect place for him as he is getting on in years and unable to tackle stiles so the many woodland walks were just right. Between us we have tackled the first part of the Wye Valley Way and also some of many geocaches in the area. A lovely comfortable cottage - thanks for the treats and Ty thanks you for the Bonio too! "We have enjoyed the cottage tremendously it's beautiful! And have been inspired to paint the Abbey in all its glory. The location is superb and the Stella bookshop has been a revelation. Wild garlic and Bluebells in drifts everywhere added to. The Lovely tulips you left for us to enjoy are reflected in our paintings!! "Lovely cottage, warm and cosy with everything we needed (and more). A warm welcome and special treats was much appreciated, enjoyed sitting in the garden listening to the birds,, saw Red kites and Robins, so peaceful and relaxing, we have visited quite a few places, went to Tintern Vineyards but it was a bit early for a tour, still we saw the new lambs which was interesting and bought Plum and Berry wine (delicious)' Fish and chips at Seven Seas fish bar in Ross on Wye are best ever. Really enjoyed the week here. Aldo and Elaine Romero Stoke on Trent "

"We were married in St Michael's church 10 years ago on 24/4/04- such a pleasure to be back in Tintern to celebrate once again. This cottage is a beautiful place to stay in with terrific views of The Abbey (where our wedding photographs were taken!) Can't wait to come back again Alan, Victoria and Charlotte Perth Western Australia Western Australia "
