Reviews from our guests

There are two places where our guests leave us comments.

They  are written by hand in the visitor books in each cottage ( sometimes even signed by the pets! ) Sometimes people forget to write in the book and e mail us later. We faithfully copy these comments as they come in and we upload them here. The only thing we hide or alter is the full guest name and address for obvious reasons of privacy.

Secondly we encourage our guests to write about us on Trip Advisor and we have an automatic feed of what has been written from Trip Advisor to this site .  Reviews posted like that show on the home page for each cottage, so now you can see what others have said.

As you will see we do have brilliant reviews. They are genuine, not a "fix" and  and its not that nothing ever goes wrong!. Although our standards are very high just occasionally, in the real world,  things are bound to happen. The good reviews are  because if something does go awry, and if our guests tell us about it  during their stay,  we do move heaven and earth to fix it while those guests are still with us. People appreciate this effort  on our part greatly and we guarantee it.

"Another fantastic week- the weather has been perfect as has the cottage! We came last year at this time, and we don't believe you have rain!! We took Holly the dog for lunch at the little Italian restaurant in Usk on one of the days and sat in the courtyard at the back and had a lovely long lunch and a bottle of wine- a very relaxing afternoon had by all!! Thanks Andy and Katie Grantham and Holly the dog. Sheffield "

"A lovely three days in a beautiful cottage in a quiet relaxing setting. The cottage is so well equipped and really carefully thought out. Enjoyed the local walks and had good meals at both the Rose and Crown ( a little rough and ready but lovely landlady) and the Anchor Inn. Both cottage and locality very dog friendly. Looking forward to returning in September. Lyn and Paul Richards Hampshire "

"Although we arrived in part, and eventually all together we had a great time, in this lovely part of the world. The cottage was a total delight and all the little touches were so thoughtful. We had some lovely walks, our little Robbie the Westie has been in "doggie" heaven, he is going home to rest!! Many thanks for the lovely "digs" The Mawson and Mullen families Southport, Lancashire "

"Lovely few days at the cottage. On a wet day we visited Penderyn distillery - good value, can drink the cost of the tour! Also had a lovely lunch at Cwtch Cafe in Abergavenny - Welsh Rarebit and cakes to die for and very reasonable prices. Did a lovely walk along the Usk Valley trail and then back over the hills from Clytha Park to Bettws Newedd. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden and watching films in the evening Thank you so much Toby and Rhiannon Stokes Guildford"
