Reviews from our guests

There are two places where our guests leave us comments.

They  are written by hand in the visitor books in each cottage ( sometimes even signed by the pets! ) Sometimes people forget to write in the book and e mail us later. We faithfully copy these comments as they come in and we upload them here. The only thing we hide or alter is the full guest name and address for obvious reasons of privacy.

Secondly we encourage our guests to write about us on Trip Advisor and we have an automatic feed of what has been written from Trip Advisor to this site .  Reviews posted like that show on the home page for each cottage, so now you can see what others have said.

As you will see we do have brilliant reviews. They are genuine, not a "fix" and  and its not that nothing ever goes wrong!. Although our standards are very high just occasionally, in the real world,  things are bound to happen. The good reviews are  because if something does go awry, and if our guests tell us about it  during their stay,  we do move heaven and earth to fix it while those guests are still with us. People appreciate this effort  on our part greatly and we guarantee it.

"This was our first stay at this beautiful cottage but hopefully not our last. We felt totally settled and at home remarkably quickly. The cottage is a real home from home, attention to detail and effort to provide every comfort is amazing and so appreciated. The surrounding area is utterly stunning, breathtakingly sights at every turn, just such a privilege to be here. Thank you so much for having us. Greg and Justine and 4 girls and dog Swindon "

"Magical four days spent in Vanilla Cottage! As the weather was sunny for the whole of our stay ,we spent our days walking in superb scenery in woodlands and along rivers. We particularly enjoyed our dinner at the Black Bear Inn as both the food and atmosphere, were fantastic. Lovely little cottage and we are sure to come back soon. "Our third visit and still has the wonder ful ,charm and comfort as the first time! The Abbey still evokes a wonderful vibe and looks beautiful on a misty morning. Came this weekend with the girls and enjoyed "high teas", coffee and two lovely meals at The Anchor and The Fountain. Already feeling sad about leaving and will certainly be back soon. Thank you to Fiona and Malcolm for sharing this wonderful place with us and the treats left were very much appreciated. Best wishes Karen Midsomer Norton, Bath "

"We've enjoyed the cottage very much and especial my the hot tub. We liked the wine and cakes very much too. Mum loved the flowers. We had fun in Puzzlewood and got a few good pictures. We are leaving tomorrow and are very excited about going canoeing. We had the best time. This place is awesome. The Gallaher family. "
