Thankfully we are seeing a huge improvement in the Covid case rates in Wales- which were relatively low here in Monmouthshire throughout- so we are glad that things are opening back up steadily.
Here are the dates authorised by the Wales Government for reopening of things most likely to be of interest to visitors, updated as more are published.
Please note that mixing of households/ what is permitted in private homes is not always the same in rented holiday properties so here we show what applies to our cottages.
Cafes and take out services have been open throughout.
March 27 Cottages reopened to Wales residents only and single households only
April 12 border to England opened and English guests welcomed back! Single household in each cottage only.
April 26 Pubs and eateries permitted to serve guests seated outside
Outdoor attractions such as Tintern Abbey, Castles, gardens, funfairs, theme parks reopen
May 3 leisure centres and swimming pools expected to reopened.
May 17 Indoor eating in pubs and restaurants permitted
