The Solar eclipse was wonderfully clear over Tintern Abbey at 09.28 this morning and there were many photographers waiting to capture the perfect image.(Following advice not to look directly at the sun this is best left to those with computer screens attached to cameras so this picture shows the darkening and dramatic sky rather than the outline of the eclipse itself).The village became quite dark, like early evening, and shadows lengthened.The temperature was already crisp and it did feel cooler for some while.A memorable event.
