We’ve had a lovely week here- it’s a great location with a super view of The Abbey We can highly recommend the pub food (Anchor) the breakfast at the White Monk Cafe. All very friendly and Tintern has good facilities and great walks A trek up to the Devils Pulpit is well worth it for the view Most things are a 20-30 minutes drive -canoeing the Wye is recommended as a day out and we also enjoyed Monmouth and the Sculpture Trail Lovely cottage, great character and a super relaxing stay! Fantastic stay for all of us. Cottage is excellent with everything we needed. Beds were lovely and comfortable which for 5 over 60’s was perfect! Location was excellent, plenty of great walks. Enjoyed our stay at Foxes Reach. The cottage is lovely and well equipped Has the most restful sleep each night. We visited Tintern and Monmouth and took a day trip to the beach with our 3 dogs and lots of lovely local walks. Discovered lots of little out of the way villages while travelling around. We had a wonderful stay in Tintern Abbey Cottage, which exceeded our expectations. It was cosy, comfortable and welcoming and we visited some fascinating places in the area. We were also blessed with marvellous weather! As our brother lives nearby, we are very likely to return.
