The owners can be justifiably proud of this beautifully renovated cottage. It has been wonderful to look out of the windows and see Tintern Abbey just over the road. We have been blessed with beautiful weather and have seen the Eye valley at its best. Thank you Fiona and Malcolm for the came, Welsh cakes, flowers, Australian flag, an attractively set table and other touches all aimed at naking ys feel at home. AS we are from Australia, we probably will not be back, but weve had a memorable time here. Thank you! Bradley Class Mont Albert Victoria Australia Bradley Class -
The temperature hit 20C and so it was bar b q time, yes really the weather was amazing for April and we all caught the sun. We enjoyed the hot tub. We can recommend the Fountain for Sunday lunch and the R Dr and Crown was very good too. It has been our first c trace holiday, but won’t be our last. Many thanks Higgins family Kent Higgins family -
For us this was a welcome extended weekend after a very busy few months. The cottage met our requirements of quaint and full of character in a rural location. The birdsong was Amazing, the countryside perfect and we had the bonus of sunshine every day! We loved the comfortable bed and the window open to the stars. We walked up to The Black Bear which had good food and a warm welcome- everyone talked to us as if we were old friends. Such a friendly place. We shopped in Cwmbran and MONMOUTH AND launched in Tintern but mostly enjoyed the garden. Thank you for every- especially the milk and cakes!
