Haven’t we been lucky! Beautiful weather and just one rainy night which your garden appreciated. It was so welcoming (after the M4 drive) to come into your cosy cottage and see the table laid for dinner- but where we’re the cook and butler? We have loved being here and leave a lot more relaxed than when we arrived! Sally and Brian Killingback Sheffield-on-Loddon Hants Sally and Brian Killingback - September 2014
Thank you Fiona and Malcolm. Your cottage is a little gem set in a beautiful area. We have explored many places in the area over the past week and had had many nice surprise s and met some lovely people. The glorious weather has been a bonus. No complaints! A return visit, this time with my sister and our elderly Mum. We were delighted that the cottage and garden were accessible to our disabled Mum. Weather was lovely so mum was able to sit out in the garden in the morning whilst my sister and I enjoyed walking locally. The Anchor Inn was very welcoming and very dog friendly. Nice to be able to walk the wheelchair to the pub! Lovely cottage in a great setting. Many thanks for the “Welcome” gifts. Another restful week in Wales. We really enjoyed being lazy. The Royal George serves up great Scampi and Chicken Madras curry. Thank you very much Graham and Betty Whitehead. Linton Cambridgeshire Graham and Betty Whitehead -
Beautiful cottage, previously stayed at Foxes Reach, so we knew we would be in for a treat. Very generous dining room and bedrooms! Although smaller garden than Foxes it is charming. I will miss watching rabbit and squirrel first thing in the mornings! out on the front garden! We don’t want to go home! But back to reality – We would love to return!! We’ve had a lovely time. Thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and its location. Ate at the Anchor most nights and can recommend wholeheartedly. Can also recommend Usk, Monmouth, Martha’s Tea Rooms in the Forest of Dean, Raglan and Chepstow Castles, Station Cafe and of course the beautiful Tintern Abbey. If you like art there are some wonderful depictions of the Abbey at Chepstow Museum including several by Turner. Weather – very good.
