Booked at extremely short notice for an early anniversary before puppy arrives next week. Fiona was extremely helpful throughout the booking process and was very informative and super efficient. Despite Malcolm s doctors trip he managed to prepare the cottage for our arrival and had a full on fire going in the log burner and was extremely helpful. We came here for the hot tub, log fire and location to restaurants ( Walnut Tree and Whitebrook) Fab place, very cosy, has absolutely everything we needed and welcome gifts were a great touch! Once again “The Christmas House” delivered. So much care taken by Fiona in the preparation. Ivy loves it, and so do we,proud Mum and Dad, Grandad and “Pip”! Went to Clearwell Caves – well worth it! Beautiful cottage, made perfect by the small Christmas touches, greeted with a fine and a bottle of bubbles! Couldn’t have wished for more for the perfect Christmas getaway. Great pub for food , The Fountain, made us feel very welcome. Was quite a task to entertain our children,17, 9 and 2, and our energetic Springer Spaniel, but managed to find something for everyone. Went to Puzzlewood, some legendary TV shot from there, plus of course the newest Star Wars. Took the Santa Express on Christmas Eve at Deans Forest, and joined in the Boxing Day traditional hunt atmosphere. There are some great indoor play areas for rainy days, and Whitestone down the road is fab for a beautiful walk, it also has a children’s play area. Returning home with many happy memories made.
