Such a lovely place to visit! We came for a few relaxing days to chill out before our baby arrives in 7 weeks. The cottage is beautiful with an amazing garden. Spent our nights chilling and eating in the cottage. Ate out one night at The Black Bear- very good food! Le Preggo in Monmouth do amazing cream teas! Jean Williams of Sweets fishing shop is lovely- sorted Paul out for fishing equipment – so friendly. We really enjoyed being in Vanilla Cottage, even though the weather wasn’t great, it provided a relaxing haven for us and luckily no dashes to the local hospitals. Our stay was very relaxing and we would love to come again! Very comfortable rooms and a lovely time spent with our family. What a fabulous weekend we have had with our sons and their families. We love this cottage. As soon as we walked through the door we felt at home. The welcome was full of warmth, and the little details made the difference, the flowers, the Welsh Cakes and gingerbread rabbits,which Caleb (16 months) loved, the dining table laid for our evening meal, true wine. Everything was so lovely. I would recommend this cottage wholeheartedly. The area is great, the weather was great, our holiday was great. Thank you so much! Already looking forward to our next visit. We have enjoyed the cottage tremendously it’s beautiful! And have been inspired to paint the Abbey in all its glory. The location is superb and the Stella bookshop has been a revelation. Wild garlic and Bluebells in drifts everywhere added to. We loved our stay here, such a beautiful, cosy, modern cottage with loads of character. We had lovely weather for the first few days which allowed us to sit outside. We both went for a run through the lanes and while normally we would use our iPods found it nice for a change to listen to the quiet and nature around us. Lovely cottage, warm and cosy with everything we needed (and more). A warm welcome and special treats was much appreciated, enjoyed sitting in the garden listening to the birds,, saw Red kites and Robins, so peaceful and relaxing, we have visited quite a few places, went to Tintern Vineyards but it was a bit early for a tour, still we saw the new lambs which was interesting and bought Plum and Berry wine (delicious)’ Fish and chips at Seven Seas fish bar in Ross on Wye are best ever.
